Grab your sneakers and join the 100km July Challenge to support breast cancer research!

This exciting event, organised by Breast Cancer Trials, returns in 2024 after a highly successful debut last year. Participants are invited to walk or run 100 km throughout July, raising essential funds for life-saving breast cancer research along the way.

The 100km July Challenge is coordinated through Facebook, where participants can sign up and create a fundraising page. Upon registration, each participant will receive a welcome pack that includes a t-shirt and a daily kilometre tracker to monitor their progress.

At last year’s event, Naomi – a breast cancer survivor – raised over $3,500. Diagnosed at 40, Naomi is participating again this year, motivated by the impact of breast cancer on her family and the loss of loved ones to the disease.

The funds raised will directly support Breast Cancer Trials’ clinical research. This research is vital for developing personalised breast cancer treatments, improving patient outcomes, and finding preventive measures for those at high risk. The ultimate goal is to preserve the quality of life for all breast cancer patients.

So, whether you’re a runner, a walker, or just someone looking to make a difference, join the 100 km July Challenge and help turn every step into a step toward a cure.
