The dining experience at Me-Gal is emblematic of communal indulgence, with a menu designed for sharing. The Emmer sourdough with whipped wattle seed & ricotta butter set the stage for a culinary journey infused with native flavours and artisanal craftsmanship.

Freshness takes centre stage in the seafood offerings, amplified by the freshly shucked Sydney rock oysters delicately adorned with seaweed-infused cider vinegar, and the beautifully plated Tuna Carpaccio with pickled muntries and seaweed potato paper, paying homage to the coastal treasures of Mooloolaba, QLD.

There are plenty of vegetarian options such as the Ricotta stuffed zucchini flowers and Compressed watermelon with Persian feta and mountain pepper, all sourced from native bushland.

For those seeking heartier fare, Me-Gal offers larger, innovative dishes brimming with flavour, such as the decadent Squid ink tagliatelle with Morton Bay bug and bisque, or the melt-in-your-mouth Lamb shoulder, slow-roasted and accompanied by heirloom carrots and chat potatoes from Flinders Island. The lamb shoulder regularly appears in reviews of Me-Gal as a standout dish.

Enhancing the main courses are thoughtfully prepared side dishes like the char-grilled broccolini with almond vinaigrette and the thick-cut fries accompanied by smoked paprika aioli, adding an extra layer of enjoyment to the meal.

No meal is complete without a sweet finale, and Me-Gal’s dessert selection delivers in spades. From the whimsical Black Forest featuring cherry mousse and hazelnut cream to the classic Crème brulée infused with Geraldton wax and saltbush, each dessert is a symphony of flavours and textures.
