Home fragrance has become increasingly tied to aesthetics, but finding products that actually last without overpowering a room can still be hit and miss. That gap in the market is what led Australian entrepreneur Ann-Maree Awad to launch Amaree Collection after growing frustrated with artificial-smelling diffusers and car fresheners that faded quickly or caused headaches.

Started from her living room in 2024 while working full-time as a kickboxing instructor, Amaree Collection began with Ann-Maree experimenting with fragrance blends and learning how scents develop before eventually creating a core collection of 12 fragrances.

The Australian-made range now includes reed diffusers, room sprays and car diffusers designed to prioritise both longevity and presentation. Each diffuser contains real dried flowers placed by hand, giving the products a more decorative feel than traditional home fragrance options.

The formulas are made using IFRA-approved fragrance oils and are free from phthalates and parabens, while also being vegan-friendly and suitable for homes with pets.

Longevity has become one of the brand’s biggest selling points. According to Ann-Maree, the car diffusers last up to three months, while the reed diffusers can continue scenting a space for up to a year, considerably longer than many mass-market alternatives.

The business has grown steadily through markets, online sales, wholesale partnerships and word of mouth rather than paid advertising, with the brand now stocked in around 80 retailers across Australia.
