Breville has introduced a new addition to its lineup, the Luxe Brewer, a filter coffee machine designed for individuals who want café-level control without transforming their kitchen into a laboratory. It evolves from the Precision Brewer, but this version is noticeably more streamlined, more intuitive, and designed for anyone who wants consistently good coffee with minimal fuss.

The core of the machine is its digital temperature management and PID heating system, paired with adjustable bloom time and flow rate. These features, which meet specialty-coffee standards, give home brewers more influence over flavour than most push-button machines offer. The interface has been pared back, the display is clearer, and the overall design feels easier to navigate than previous iterations.
One thoughtful inclusion is the water hardness test strip. Once you set the machine to match your local water, it automatically adjusts when it needs descaling, which helps maintain performance over time. The serving options are flexible as well. The dual-wall thermal carafe keeps coffee hot for hours without relying on a warming plate, and if you're only making a cup or two, you can remove the carafe and brew directly into your mug.

There are three main brew modes: Brew (aligned with the SCA Gold Cup standard), Cold Brew, and Custom. The auto-start function means you can set it to brew before you’ve even woken up, while Cold Brew mode allows steep times up to 36 hours for people who like experimenting with strength and flavour. The Custom mode is where precision lovers will likely spend their time, adjusting bloom volume, brew temperature, and flow rate to suit their beans.
Breville’s coffee team describes the Luxe Brewer as a more seamless version of the original Precision Brewer, shaped by what customers enjoyed and what they wanted simplified. The idea is to make better coffee accessible every day, whether you’re tweaking variables or just pressing start.
Aesthetically, it matches the brand’s premium look, with finishes in Brushed Stainless Steel or Black Truffle.
