The Carriageworks Christmas Market is turning it on for one day only on Saturday 20 December, transforming Eveleigh into a convenient, festive stop for anyone trying to get their Christmas shop sorted without the chaos of the big malls.

More than 120 growers, makers and food businesses will set up across the precinct, bringing everything from fresh produce to last-minute gifts that don’t feel last-minute.

Regulars from the weekly Farmers Market will be out in force including Block 11 Organics, The Food Farm, Kurrawong Organics, Hillside Food Forest and Vannella Cheese. There’ll also be Pudding Lane’s traditional puds, Indigiearth’s bush-inspired pantry staples, small-batch treats from Marshmallow Club, and handmade pieces from Hunter Candles and Splendid Wren Ceramics. It’s an easy way to pull together a proper Christmas hamper, with preserves, pickles, wine, spirits, baked goods and other stocking-friendly finds all in one place.

Food-wise, you can expect AP Bakery, Hotluck, Condimental, Crustacean Nation, Broomfield Pies and The Food Farm to keep things moving for anyone who shops better with something in their belly. Special guests including Gelato Messina, Gildas/Firedoor, Plate It Forward and Tenacious Bakehouse bring extra drawcard energy for those who like to snack their way through a market.

The whole thing runs from 8am to 3pm, with DJ La Foxy Fuzz on deck to lift the mood while Sydneysiders work through their lists. Families can dip into free craft sessions and an immersive experience created by Box of Birds/Stalker Theatre, which drops visitors into a digital bushland filled with roaming creatures that react as you wander.

If you’re chasing a real tree this year, Dural Christmas Tree Farm will be at the usual Carriage weekly markets from 29 November to 13 December with freshly cut and potted options, ready to take home and decorate.

This Christmas edition closes out the 2025 market season, with the weekly Farmers Market returning on Saturday 10 January. Entry is free.
