As part of the Sydney Fringe Festival's ‘Paint The Town Pink’ campaign, The Streets of Barangaroo will be awash in hues of pink, with participating retailers offering special pink-themed dishes, drinks, and more throughout the month. Enjoy a Clover Pirouette cocktail at NOLA or tuck into a Cloudberry Bliss dessert at Bottega Coco.

For those looking to quench their thirst with a splash of pink, Sax will be offering its signature La Vi En Rose cocktails, while Lotus will feature the exotic Sunset Sipper. If food is more your thing, head to Ume Burger for a limited-time Ebi Katsu Burger or visit Wild Sage for dishes like pan-fried barramundi with beetroot sauce, all in keeping with the festival's colourful theme.
The Streets of Barangaroo will also host a series of events that delve into the concept of ritual, offering moments of connection, reflection, and joy. One such event is ‘Two Strangers Walk Into A Bar’, an immersive audio experience created by Australian actor Tilda Cobham-Hervey. This unique adventure invites participants to engage in meaningful exchanges with a stranger, guided by introspective and playful prompts.

Another highlight is ‘Dear Stranger’, a free, heartwarming activity that invites festival-goers to connect through the timeless act of letter writing. Write a letter to a stranger and receive one in return, fostering a sense of community and shared humanity in the middle of a bustling city.
Fridays in September will also see the ‘Friday Ritual’ event, where artist Matthew Aberline, along with the Beautiful and Useful Studio, will create wind-sculpted structures in the International Towers lobby. These sculptures will then be paraded through the precinct, accompanied by a community choir, before being displayed at Waterman’s Cove. It’s a perfect way to transition from the workweek to the weekend, celebrating art, community, and the beauty of the unexpected.
