Chef’s Armoury, supplier of fine Japanese cookware is turning 15 years old and as part of the celebrations, it’s holding a special exhibition of fine Japanese craftsmanship called “From the Vault”. On view will be a new release of rare handcrafted Japanese kitchen knives from the Chef’s Armoury archives.

Chef’s Armoury was established in 2007 by Leigh and Stephanie Hudson for chefs and home cooks to arm themselves with the best kitchen ordinance from Japan. This husband-and-wife team forever transformed the culinary landscape for both professional chefs and home cooks in Australia.

Fans of their Japanese wares include Maggie Beer, Federico Zanellato (Lumi Dining), Peter Gilmore (Quay), Benjamin Cooper (Chin Chin), Jesse Warkentin (Odd Culture), Will Studd and thousands more.

Chef’s Armoury features a wide range of Japanese blades and they make for a beautiful, long-lasting and practical gift for the home cook. Here’s a selection of some of our favourite knives.
