This August, Opera Bar will offer a unique pre-theatre dining experience - the Chiswick x Opera Bar Pre-Theatre Experience. The experience merges the culinary artistry of Woollahra’s Chiswick restaurant with the spectacular harbourside setting of Sydney’s Opera House.

It’s a novel opportunity for theatre lovers to enjoy a carefully curated menu from Chiswick, renowned for its emphasis on fresh, seasonal produce.
The pre-theatre dinner, priced at $80 per person, begins with a glass of Chandon Rosé sparkling and a selection of shared entrees.
For the main course, guests choose one of three dishes: rigatoni with roasted tomato and salted ricotta pangrattato; pan-roasted snapper with fennel and sauce gribiche; or roast chicken with braised brassicas and Jerusalem artichoke. Shared sides include slow-roasted pumpkin with pepita and maple, and butter lettuce with a herb vinaigrette.
Running from August 5 to 29, this pop-up dining experience is available from 5pm, Monday through Thursday. While the seating times may adjust to fit Sydney Opera House's show schedules, all bookings are guaranteed to be pre-theatre.
This is a first for Opera Bar, which traditionally hasn’t offered dinner reservations. Bookings are recommended, however, walk-ins are also welcome if space permits.
