Fujifilm Australia has launched GFX Gigs: three exclusive assignments designed to let photographers do what they love and actually get paid for it. The brief? Simple. Show off your skills, tell Fujifilm why you’re the one for the job, and you could find yourself backstage at Australian Fashion Week, in a chopper above Mount Kosciuszko, or behind the curtain at the Sydney Opera House.

To enter, you’ll need to share the following details:

  • Contact details
  • Your social media/website links
  • What camera gear you currently use
  • 150-word response on why you should be hired for your selected GFX Gig
  • Your photography portfolio

Each gig is tailored to a specific passion—fashion, landscape, and performance photography—giving creatives the chance to lean into their niche with serious support. The chosen photographers will be handed the brand-new GFX100RF camera, Fujifilm’s sleek, large-format powerhouse that’s already turning heads in the industry.

Additionally, the gigs are paid and all expenses such as accommodation, travel and meals are covered, making this a rare moment where passion and profession genuinely intersect.

The three assignment briefs are:

  • Fashion lovers: Capture the drama and detail of Romance Was Born at this year’s Australian Fashion Week, complete with media pit access and a peek behind the runway curtain.
  • Adventurous souls: Fly high (literally) in a helicopter to photograph the majestic landscapes of Mount Kosciuszko.
  • Culture buffs: Step into the world of Opera Australia to shoot The Marriage of Figaro before Opening Night at the Sydney Opera House.

It’s open to both professionals and talented enthusiasts, so if you’ve got the eye and the drive, don’t let this pass you by. Just submit your portfolio and a short pitch on why you're the one for the job.
