If you jump in the car and drive just over two hours south of Sydney, you’ll arrive at Jervis Bay – a little piece of heaven with pristine clear waters and white sandy beaches. And here you will find Paperback Camp – a unique glamping experience in a peaceful bush setting.
Paperbark Camp is 4km from the small holiday town of Huskisson on the shores of the bay where Currambene Creek meets the bay. Also around the bay are Vincentia, Hyams Beach and Jervis Bay Village which is in the Booderee National Park.
Thoughtfully placed amongst the soaring eucalyptus and intriguing paperbarks, the beautifully appointed African-inspired canvas safari tents have been built above the ground to give privacy and comfort, capturing the sea breeze.
The Tents
There are three safari tents available to stay in: the Deluxe Safari Tent, the Deluxe Plus and the King Deluxe.
The Deluxe safari tent is perfect for a romantic escape and ideally suited for two people, providing a private canvas hideaway amongst the soaring eucalypts. It features an undercover deck with sunloungers for whiling away a few hours with a good book, as well as a free-standing bath and separate shower.

The Deluxe Plus safari tent is the perfect bush retreat for a romantic getaway with its comfy king-size bed, day lounges for curling up on and bush bath with a view, this is not your typical tent! The roomier interior also makes it the right choice for those travelling with friends or kids and wanting to share, there’s enough room for up to four people making it perfect for families.

The King Deluxe safari tent is the largest tent and features a striking black and white interior inspired by travels to Northern Africa. Couples will love it, but it can accommodate up to five people, so is also great for families and friends looking to spend precious time together.
