After its debut in Brooklyn and a sell-out tour across the United States, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse in Concert is making its way to the Sydney Opera House. With only two performances on October 13, tickets are expected to sell quickly.
This unique event will feature a live orchestra, turntables, and percussionists performing the original score and soundtrack, perfectly synchronised with the Academy Award-winning animated film projected on a massive HD screen.

Directed by Bob Persichetti, Peter Ramsey, and Rodney Rothman, and penned by Phil Lord and Rothman, this Sony Pictures Animation film follows the adventures of Miles Morales, a young Brooklynite who gains extraordinary powers from a spider bite. Tasked with saving the multiverse, Miles encounters alternate versions of himself, exploring the vast possibilities within the Spider-Verse. As an Afro-Latinx teen, he must harness his newfound abilities to protect his city from a formidable villain.
The movie’s score, composed by Daniel Pemberton, a multiple Golden Globe nominee and Emmy winner, enhances the narrative with its dynamic blend of hip-hop and orchestral elements. Pemberton, renowned for his work on films such as The Man from U.N.C.L.E., Ocean’s 8, Steve Jobs, and Molly’s Game, delivers a musical experience that captures the essence of heroism and resilience. The soundtrack also features contributions from music industry luminaries like Post Malone, Lil Wayne, Jaden Smith, and Nicki Minaj.
