Melbourne’s popular midweek wine-tasting event, Into The Vines, hits Sydney for the first time on Wednesday, March 27th, celebrating women’s contribution to the Australian wine industry.

Freshwater Brewing Co. in Brookvale will host the event, where you can sip on some brews while diving into over 25 unique wines from five pioneering female winemakers, all for just $15. Your ticket includes all wine tastings, a tasting card, and a grazing board to snack from between sips.

The winery lineup features Empire of Dirt, a small-scale winery owned by Tash Webster from Moorabool Valley (VIC), which recently introduced a 2023 Pinot Noir named “F*ck the Patriarchy”. Intrepedius Wines will also be there, led by winemaker Chrissie Smith, a single mother of three, who produces small-batch wines from her 1-acre plot in Yass (ACT). The remaining three wineries will be revealed soon.

While wine tastings often carry an air of exclusivity, Into The Vines aims to make wine approachable for everyone. The one-room wine tour provides an interactive experience to explore new wines from family-owned, boutique wineries, with special offers on take-home bottles.

Freshwater Brewing Co. will offer a variety of dishes from their updated menu, including tacos, hearty burgers, and crunchy salads. They also provide a $25 burger and pint deal and exclusive snack packs. Meal deals, craft beer, small-batch wines, music, and good company promise an enjoyable, affordable night out.

Each tasting session is capped at 90 pax, with sessions at 6pm – 7pm and 7pm – 8pm. The price is $15 for the tasting event, and $40 for the tasting event and a Burger and Pint.
