Kendall Jenner’s highly anticipated tequila brand, 818 Tequila, has finally landed in Australia. With Jenner leading the charge, the brand’s exceptional reputation speaks for itself, and it’s now time for Australians to enjoy the delicious spirits firsthand. If the high demand experienced in the US and UK is any indication, these gorgeous bottles are likely to be very popular in Australia.

818 Tequila Blanco is an exceptionally smooth blend, culminating in a vibrant and refreshing citrusy finish. It boasts distinct notes of almond, zesty key lime pie, and toasted coconut, a result of its three-week rest in French oak barrels.

818 Tequila Reposado offers a silky caramel finish, with robust undertones of cooked agave and delectable pecan pie emerging after three months of ageing in a blend of oak barrels.

Lastly, 818 Tequila Añejo delivers a profound and intricate flavour profile, featuring hints of orange peel, indulgent chocolate, and velvety toffee, achieved through over a year of maturation in oak barrels.

Completing the 818 lineup is the extraordinary Eight Reserve: a masterful blend of Añejo tequilas aged for up to eight years in both French and American oak barrels. It is elegantly presented in handcrafted ceramic decanters.

818 Tequila Anejo

818 Tequila’s agave plants are carefully harvested at their peak maturity, typically after 6-7 years. They are then meticulously slow-cooked in traditional ovens for about 30 hours. Following the classic tahona wheel extraction method, the spirit undergoes natural fermentation before being distilled within alembic copper pot stills. Finally, it matures in American and French oak barrels. This unwavering commitment to traditional craftsmanship, viewed through a modern lens, has earned 818 Tequila more than 43 international awards since its inception.

However, 818 Tequila’s dedication extends beyond crafting exceptional spirits; it also encompasses a strong commitment to sustainability. Jenner founded 818 Tequila with sustainability as a core principle from the outset. Every aspect, from cultivating their agave plants to the production and labelling of each bottle, reflects their mission to redefine sustainable tequila practices.

818 Tequila Reposado

The 818 Tequila distillery operates on biomass and solar power to minimize carbon emissions, and its bottles are crafted from recycled glass. Furthermore, their paper products are certified by the Forest Stewardship Council. Most notably, 818 proudly became a part of the B Corporation™ community in March 2023, underscoring their ongoing commitment to social and environmental responsibility.

818 Tequila is now available exclusively for purchase, starting at $100 RRP, at select Liquorland and First Choice Liquor Market stores* (ahead of the nationwide rollout on October 4, 2023, to all participating retailers).
