During this Lunar New Year, the Lotus Dining Group is set to commemorate the Year of the Dragon with an exciting lineup of events and colourful festivities across all its venues, spanning from Friday, 9 February to Sunday, 25 February.
Specialty banquets, prosperity salads, red fortune cookies and the LNY goldfish dumplings ($24 ling fish, sugar snap peas) will bring light and positivity to all celebrations as guests welcome the new year at Lotus Dining Group venues including: Pearl, Lotus Barangaroo, The Gardens by Lotus, Lotus Double Bay, Lotus The Galeries and Dumpling Bars at Circular Quay, Summer Hill and Walsh Bay.
“Lunar New Year is a special time for us at Lotus. It is a privilege to be able to host the families that come together to mark the new year. This time is steeped in tradition and we love bringing it all to life. Goodwill and generosity are at the heart of the new year and to share the love we will be handing out red envelopes to our lucky guests. To add further prosperity we will be serving handmade goldfish dumplings alongside our carefully designed banquets. It is a colourful and exciting time, and to dial up the festivities Lotus venues will have Lion dances to ensure the year of the dragon is a sensational year for everyone,” says Tara Sullivan, Lotus Dining Group COO.
The LNY lucky draw will see red envelopes of $8, $18, $88 or $188 vouchers randomly gifted to guests that dine throughout Lunar New Year. Traditional lion dances at Pearl, Lotus Barangaroo, The Gardens by Lotus and Lotus The Galeries bring joy to the celebrations as the lions symbolise wisdom and power, with the dance bringing good fortune to all participants.
Lotus has also partnered with Valrhona Chocolate to create a unique box of chocolates that can be purchased in-venue. The four flavoured chocolates developed by creative director Lotus Dining Group, Tiffany Jones, symbolise the intentions one will set for themselves and the person they are gifting the chocolates to for the year ahead.
