First, there was gin in a tin. Now Aussies can enjoy gin or vodka in a box! Mandatory Spirit Co, a Brisbane-based drinks company, has announced an exciting new Australian first product launch – gin or vodka in an impressive 1.5L box.
Mandatory Spirit Co. is also leading the way in sustainability by introducing the use of Bag-in-Box (BIB) packaging, reducing its carbon footprint by 8 times less than glass bottles.
BIB has a low carbon footprint and is designed to extend the shelf life of products. By using a lightweight box shape, dead space is minimised whilst also maximising transport capacity. In comparison, one truck transporting BIB holds the same volume as 7 trucks carrying glass bottles, therefore lowering emissions and transport costs for a more eco-friendly beverage.
The new spirits range is sugar-free, gluten-free and vegan and is a perfect summertime addition.
The two new products on offer are:
- Gin: A flavoursome spirit with an abundance of tasting notes. A modern gin that’s Juniper and lemon myrtle forward with sweet juicy notes of orange and coriander.
- Vodka: A super smooth Vodka with a hint of burnt caramel.
