Picture this. You’ve just taken off and it’s time to settle in for your 14-hour flight. With a drink in one hand and inflight snacks in the other, you’re just about to start watching a movie when the passenger in the window seat decides they need to get up. Now you’re going to have to unplug your headphones and fumble around with the headphone cord while you juggle your drink.
If only you had a device that would allow you to Bluetooth your AirPods or wireless headphones and be done with the pesky headphone cord. Enter the AirFly Pro by the clever people at Twelve South.
How does it work? Simply plug your AirFly into your seat’s headphone jack to listen to inflight entertainment with your AirPods, Bose, Sony or other noise-cancelling wireless headphones. With up to 25+ hours of battery, the AirFly Pro will outlast the longest commercial flights.
What else does it do? It allows two people to listen to in-flight entertainment or an Apple TV show on MacBook Air, MacBook Pro or iPad Pro devices with wireless headphones. You can also stream music from your iPhone to an AUX IN in a car or speaker.
What does it come with? The AirFly Pro comes with a USB-C to USB-A Charging Cable, a handy travel pouch, keyring storage and owner’s guide. At 15.6 grams and 57 X 25.5 X 11mm, it’s the perfect travel companion on those long-haul flights.
Is it easy to set up? Very! In three easy steps, you can be on your way.
- Turn your AirFly Pro on by pressing and holding the Power button for four seconds. The Airfly Pro will rapidly blink amber and white to indicate it’s in Pairing Mode.
- Put your headphones in Pairing Mode. If you own AirPods, put them into Pairing Mode by holding the button on the back of the case until the Status Light flashes.
- Once the light on the AirFly Pro turns solid white, you’re connected. Plug your AirFly Pro into the desired headphone jack. Now it’s time to sit back and enjoy the in-flight entertainment. Just remember to keep your seatbelt fastened at all times!
