The journey begins with the world’s steepest railway plunging into the valley under the cover of night. From there, visitors will embark on a sensory exploration featuring stunning light projections that reveal the hidden language of the rainforest, a holographic lyrebird serenading the night, and dazzling displays inspired by the surrounding cliffs and canyons. Australia’s first cable car glides high above the illuminated canopy, offering a rare nocturnal perspective of the Three Sisters and the National Park beyond.

Created by world-renowned light and sound specialists Laservision, this year’s Nocturnal is bigger and bolder than ever. Expect breathtaking aerial lighting effects, dynamic light sculptures, and interactive storytelling woven into the landscape itself. Every element is designed to highlight the unique ecosystem and deep cultural significance of Gundungurra Country.
Scenic World has been a place of wonder for eight decades, evolving from a small family-run attraction into a world-class destination. Nocturnal is a tribute to this legacy - an experience that showcases the region’s natural beauty and redefines what’s possible in immersive entertainment.
With last year’s event selling out quickly, early bookings are essential. Nocturnal runs on select nights, including during school holidays, making it the perfect family outing or unique date night. Tickets start from $54.90 for adults and $40.90 for kids, with children under three admitted free.
