QBD Books – Australia’s largest Australian-owned and operated book retailer – is taking over operations of the former Dymocks store in Sydney’s Broadway Shopping Centre and introducing vinyl records to its product lineup. Thanks to a new partnership with Sony Music, QBD Books will stock vinyl records in up to 30 of its stores.
“We find that vinyl record consumers and book readers have similar interests, and so for us, the alignment with Sony is a natural fit,” says QBD Books CEO Nick Croydon.
The launch of the new bookstore at Broadway will kick off at 10am on Monday, November 13th, marking the brand’s official entrance into one of Sydney’s largest retail centres. Special guests during its opening week will include coastal scientist and beach safety researcher, Rob ‘Dr Rip’ Brander, Australian singer and interior designer, Belinda Chapple, ABC News journalist and thriller author, Tim Ayliffe, and model, actor, and children’s author, Christian Wilkins.
The week will culminate with a book signing event featuring bestselling crime fiction author Candice Fox, who will be in-store on Saturday, November 18th.
Opening week at QBD Books Broadway will include huge sales and customer giveaways, so make sure you head to the new store to stock up on Christmas gifts – because who doesn’t love a good book or vinyl?!
