The expansion features ten spacious suites and is located at the former Victoria’s at Wategos site. Guests can look forward to enjoying the same world-class hospitality and style that have made Raes a favourite. The property will also boast inviting indoor common areas with open log fireplaces and lush tropical gardens. There’s also two exotic lap pools—a 16 x 3-metre pool with a waterfall and a 12-metre solar-heated pool with a cabana lounge.

Celebrating 30 years of Raes
“We have long considered the possibility of extending our offering at Raes on Wategos, and so the opportunity to procure a property as iconic as Victoria's was one we embraced wholeheartedly,” says Raes managing director, Jordy Catalano. ‘As we celebrate 30 years of Raes, we’re thrilled to offer guests a wider opportunity to experience the elegance, warmth and unparalleled hospitality Raes on Wategos is renowned for”.
Guests can also enjoy original Raes establishments, such as the acclaimed Raes Dining Room, led by executive chef Jason Saxby. They’ll also have access to the scenic Cellar Bar, and Raes Spa which offers a range of luxurious RATIONALE treatments. The addition of premium partnerships, such as with Perrier-Jouët, further enhances the in-room experience.
The new property is designed by Tamsin Johnson, reflecting Raes’ signature minimalist and coastal elegance . Tasmin also revamped the original site in 2016. Expect a blend of Mediterranean vibes and understated sophistication, with a neutral palette and natural, luxe touches. Tasmin's vision will harmonise Raes' unique history and original architecture with the serene beachside environment.
Bookings for Raes on Wategos’ new property can be made from October 2024.
