Japanese-inspired venue Rekōdo Restaurant + Vinyl Bar is expanding, with Rekōdo Katsu Kanteen opening downstairs at the laid-back waterfront locale of House Bar. Situated on the ground floor of Barangaroo House, the new venue will open on Wednesday, 15 May 2024. To mark the occasion, the team is offering 100 complimentary chicken katsu, sweet potato, or prawn katsu sandos at 1pm.

The menu at Rekōdo Katsu Kanteen will mirror its upstairs counterpart but will also feature a selection of snacks, bowls, and sandos perfect for a relaxed lunch, dinner, or casual gathering.

Additionally, there’s a vegetarian-friendly sweet potato miso katsu complemented by unagi sauce.

Lunchtime drink offers include a pint of Stone & Wood for the price of a schooner, glasses of wine for $10, and an Aperol Spritz for $15.
