While wandering through this magical setting, children can engage in a fun scavenger hunt, uncovering hidden clues that reveal the ancient Gundungurra Creation Story, offering insight into the formation of the Blue Mountains eons ago.

Uncle David King, a Gundungurra Custodian curated a Welcome to Country light plinth in Gundungurra language for Nocturnal. “Nocturnal highlights the importance of the night sky in Indigenous culture,” says Uncle David King. “The plinth tells a nighttime story – the Seven Sisters dreaming, the journeys of the night animals, pathways across Gundungurra Country and the connection to creation.”
