Single O has rolled out its annual Sugarplum blend, a festive release the roastery has refined for more than ten years. This edition brings together a natural Honduras from Finca Caviflorr with a washed Kenyan coffee from Gichatha, creating a mix of bright fruit, a little sparkle, and enough depth to suit whatever brewing setup you have at home.

The team sees Sugarplum as their chance to celebrate the festive season through coffee, and this year they’ve taken it further across their Surry Hills and Newstead (located in Brisbane) cafés with espresso, hot filter, cold filter, and a few playful tweaks along the way. One of those is a Spiced Spider built around Sugarplum gelato, developed with Marrickville favourite Cow and the Moon. They’ve spun the blend into a Latte gelato as well, available now at the gelateria for anyone keen to try Sugarplum in a totally different form.
At the cafés, the Spiced Spider blends house-made spiced apple soda with coffee gelato, made by Cow and the Moon for Surry Hills and Allora Gelato for Newstead, then finished with a cherry for a touch of nostalgia. Sugarplum is also pouring on tap, hot or cold, throughout the festive stretch.
There’s a giveaway in the mix, too. Single O has joined forces with La Marzocco Home, offering customers the chance to win a Linea Micra espresso machine valued at $5,999. Any purchase of a 1kg bag of Sugarplum or one of the Sugarplum gift options from Single O’s online store counts as an entry.
The 2025 Sugarplum blend is available now through Single O’s website, the Surry Hills and Newstead cafés, and via wholesale partners around the country.
Prices start at $27 for 250g or $92 for 1kg. The Spiced Spider is on the menu at Surry Hills until 20 December and at Newstead until 26 December, 2025.
