Sophie Hansen is Two Good’s Chef of the month this December. Sophie Hansen is one of Australia’s favourite country cooks based in Orange, NSW. Sophie’s recipes have a focus on seasonality, making from scratch, and everything is designed to be shared and gifted, which has inspired her menu created for Two Good.

Through the Chef of the Month (COTM) program, social enterprise Two Good partners with top chefs who create delicious menus that are cooked and served at their cafe in Darlinghurst’s Yirranma Place, and are also available to purchase through their catering service. All proceeds from the sales will help at-risk women affected by domestic violence, homelessness and trauma find employment.

Sophie’s menu for Two Good includes a focaccia, a salad and a sweet treat available throughout December & January:

– Focaccia Stuffed With Cheese & Greens – soft, lighty and chewy focaccia bursting with flavour from roasted cherry tomatoes, cheese and English spinach.

– Risoni salad with caramelised lemon, feta (& optional grilled chicken) – with capsicum, cherry tomatoes, onions, cucumber and a light crunch from the nigella seeds, this is a light but satisfying salad that’s perfect for a quick lunch

– Chocolate, Almond & Cranberry Panforte – A traditional Christmas dessert in Italy, this panforte is chewy, rich, chocolatey with pops of sweet dried fruit and crunchy nuts. This slice also stores well, so it makes a lovely traditional homemade Christmas gift!

Sophie’s menu will be available throughout December and January from Monday 4th December at Two Good’s cafe located at 262 Liverpool Street, Darlinghurst, or online here.
