For the first time, you’ll be guided by Dino enthusiast and TV star Andy Day. His passion for all things dino brings the experience to life, with special videos and interactive audio stations scattered throughout the rainforest. You’ll learn fascinating facts about his favourite species and hear his unique perspective on the age of dinosaurs as you journey through this entertaining adventure.
This year’s Dinosaur Valley features the largest collection to date, with 60 animatronic dinosaurs and 29 species, all nestled among the towering trees of the Jamison Valley. You’ll encounter crowd favourites like the mighty T-Rex, the spiky Stegosaurus, and the swift Velociraptors. For those interested in Australia’s prehistoric past, keep an eye out for the Minmi and Australovenator – dinosaurs that once roamed this very land.
Start your journey with a ride on the Scenic Railway, the steepest train in the world, plunging you straight into the heart of the ancient rainforest. Once on the valley floor, take out your Junior Ranger Field Guide and challenge yourself to find as many different species as possible. Have your camera ready to capture the moment you meet a baby dinosaur up close, and don’t hesitate to quiz a Dinosaur Ranger – they’re ready for your toughest questions!
When you’re ready for a different perspective, soar high above the valley on the Scenic Skyway, where you’ll get a bird’s-eye view of the forest and its ancient inhabitants.
Make sure to book your tickets early to avoid disappointment. This prehistoric adventure runs until February 9, 2025, and it’s free for kids under three!
