A number of venues across Sydney will be celebrating IWD2023 with events including special ladies’ nights and collaborative wine evenings.

Terrace on the Domain

The week will kick off with a live nude drawing event held at the Terrace on Tuesday 7th March, whereby participants will have the opportunity to join artist Rose Ashton in the beautiful gardens of The Domain and celebrate the female form. Food and drink will be available to order, with Aperol Spritz, Negroni Sbagliato’s, Lyre’s mocktails and fresh pizzas all on the menu, so you can paint, sip and eat the night away. 

A portion of all ticket sales will be going towards Sydney’s Women and Children Centre, as well as raffle tickets available to purchase on the night with three prizes to be won, including; a tour of the Sydney Opera House, followed by a dinner at Botanic House in the Royal Botanic Gardens (2 people), a Magnum of Perrier Jouet Grand Brut and a Campari Negroni Sbagliato Pack.

Reign at the QVB

On Wednesday 8th March, Reign at the QVB invites champagne lovers to rub shoulders with some of Sydney’s most renowned female sommeliers, whilst enjoying a glass of Champagne Taittinger or Grower Champagne made by female winemakers, and caviar bumps on arrival. Keynote speakers include Louella Mathews, Bridget Raffal and Georgia Davidson-Brown will be discussing all things past, present and future of the Australian Wine Industry.

Bar 83

Thursday will see Sydney’s highest bar, Bar 83, transformed into a fun and fabulous ladies’ night, with special offers on sparkling champagne and Archie Rose cocktails, as well as the talented DJ Emalia Jane behind the decks from 7 pm – making it the perfect opportunity to get your girl gang together and spend the night celebrating 83 levels high in the sky.

ESQ at QVB

To round off the week of celebrations, ESQ at QVB is hosting a collaborative wine event with innovative and up-and-coming female winemakers from across Australia to showcase their wines including; The Somm and The Winemaker, Mem Hemmings “Wine by Mem”, ChaLou and Oliver’s Taranga Wines. The dynamic evening will include a bespoke shared menu prepared by chef Guillaume Dubois, great wine and good conversation.
