Ettalong’s dining scene is about to get a boost with the arrival of Tiger Mama, opening its doors to the public on Thursday 14 August 2025. This new Pan-Asian restaurant draws its name and spirit from the owner’s mother, a woman remembered for her strength, discipline, and generosity.
The menu brings together the vibrant flavours of Southeast Asia, served with a focus on sharing. It will feature dishes such as rich, spice-laden Beef Rendang, smoky Weeping Tiger, whole duck platters, pillowy baos, and handmade dumplings. Each dish leans into bold flavours and fresh herbs, balancing heat, tang, and texture.

The drinks list includes familiar favourites from the team’s previous venture with new standouts. The Yuzu Spicy Tommy’s Margarita promises to be the house favourite: sharp, citrusy, and carrying a slow-building warmth. Other highlights include a Japanese twist on the classic Whiskey Sour, a fresh Strawberry Basil Smash, and the floral lift of the Tiger Elder Gimlet, each crafted to complement the punchy menu.
Inside, the setting channels the glamour of 1920s Shanghai. Deep terracotta walls, forest-green accents, vintage glass chandeliers, and tan leather banquettes give the space a moody, intimate feel without losing its warmth.
Tiger Mama has been designed for versatility. From weekday dinners to big celebratory banquets, the menu and atmosphere adapt easily to the occasion. There are flexible banquet options, and private events are welcome, making it as suited to casual gatherings as it is to milestone moments.
