Tommy Panini has arrived in Bondi and locals wasted no time lining up. After cementing its reputation on the Northern Beaches with some of Sydney’s most talked-about sandwiches, the cult favourite has expanded east and the opening weekend was proof of the anticipation, with paninis selling out well before 1pm.
The Bondi menu keeps things bold and playful, built around quality produce and big flavours. A menu standout is the Beef and Pickles Panini, layered with slow-cooked beef, sauerkraut, dill pickles, torched Swiss cheese, and the popular 'Marry Me Sauce', a nod to its dangerously moreish flavour.
By evening, the venue flips into Pizza Laundry, a wine and pizza bar styled after a New York laundromat. Launching 10 September, it runs from 5pm to 9pm, Wednesday to Sunday. Here, the focus is on thin, crisp bases that are light enough to fold, staying true to the mantra 'Fresh, Crisp, Folded'. The Spicy Roni Pizza leads the way with mozzarella (both fresh and aged), pecorino, pepperoni and pickled chilli for just the right balance of heat and richness. With BYO and outdoor seating, it’s set to be a go-to for relaxed nights in Bondi.

The fit-out, by design studio CoffeyHallet, brings the laundromat concept to life while keeping a coastal feel. The design blends laundromat nostalgia with Bondi’s easy coastal vibe, striking a balance that feels playful yet relaxed.
Tommy Panini runs from 11am to 3pm, Wednesday to Sunday while Pizza Laundry takes over from 5pm to 9pm, Wednesday to Sunday.
