Vivid Sydney is about to kick off in over a week so if you’re heading into the city or Taronga Zoo to enjoy the festivities, there are a number of venues by the Trippas White Group offering special Vivid menus as part of their ‘Vivid Nights’ program.
The ‘Vivid Nights’ program includes collaborations with beloved Surry Hills’ fried chicken venue Butter, award-winning distillery Archie Rose, esteemed chef Luke Nguyen, along with renowned Australian craft beer brewery Young Henrys.
NEON RAMEN by Butter x Archie Rose
From 27 May to 17 June, NEON Ramen will take over the Yallamundi Rooms in the Sydney Opera House. A collaboration between Trippas White Group, famed Surry Hills fried chicken venue, Butter and Archie Rose Distilling Co, the takeover will see the Yallamundi rooms transform into an eatery with menu items including; Butter’s fried chicken atop hot ramen with a special themed glaze, burgers and tenders coated in an Archie Rose Triple Molasses Rum glaze and fries. Butter’s hot cinnamon doughnuts will also be available.
Undoubtedly, one of the best views in Sydney, guests will have a front-row seat for the light show on the Sydney Harbour Bridge and city Skyline. Drinks will include G.H. Mumm champagne and a curated cocktail menu including cocktails from the Archie Rose native-inspired gin and vodka cocktail range including the Espresso Martinique, Eucalypt Mule and Seaside Spritz.
In true Butter style, sneakers will adorn the walls of the northern boardwalk eatery while local DJs will provide nightly entertainment against the glowing Sydney Harbour. NEON Ramen will be open Friday to Sunday from 5pm until late. Bookings are highly recommended, with some space reserved for walk-ins.

Nestled within the Royal Botanic Gardens, Botanic House will be extending its hours to include dinner service seven nights a week. From 26 May to 16 July guests will have access to Australian chef Luke Nguyen’s nine-course tasting menu while nestled among Vivid’s Lightscape journey.
For those who partake in the Lightscape journey, Farm Cove Eatery has partnered with Young Henrys to curate takeaway options for guests to enjoy on their walk. Coined ‘Young Henrys House of Hazy’, Lightscape guests will be able to enjoy ready-to-eat meals that include Banh Mi with honey grilled pork, fried tofu with spicy satay, and chicken skewers with Botanic House’s infamous chilli jam.
Bookings are recommended, with some space reserved for walk-ins. Note: Botanic House is located in the middle of the Lightscape activation. To dine in the restaurant, purchase of a Lightscape ticket is not essential and guests will be escorted to and from the restaurant. If guests want to experience the entire Lightscape experience, they will need to purchase a ticket separately.

On the other side of the harbour, Taronga Zoo has its ‘Wild Lights’ activation. A trail with over 100 lanterns and lights, guests will be taken on an adventure to meet some of the most iconic native species at the Zoo. A ticketed event that is for all ages, it makes for the ultimate family night out, paired perfectly with dinner at the recently relaunched Me-Gal. Open for dinner reservations seven nights a week, Me-Gal will have a specially designed Vivid-themed ‘Wild Flower’ cocktail, honouring all things colourful and flavourful along with its a la carte menu.
Guests with a booked reservation at Me-Gal during the Wild Lights activation will receive a 10% discount code in their booking confirmation to utilise when booking Wild Lights tickets.
